A license is a key.
Help someone turn it.
In Sandtown and across West Baltimore, a driver's license opens doors to better jobs, school, and family care. Your support covers the costs that keep people off the road.

Three ways to direct your gift
The Drive Fund (General Fund)
Where the need is greatest. Your gift covers driver's education seats, MVA test fees, road test vehicles, and the everyday costs of getting new drivers licensed. A general gift lets us say yes the moment a student is ready.
Foster Youth Fund
Young people aging out of foster care often have no one to teach them to drive or a car to practice in. This fund covers driver's ed, practice hours with a trusted mentor, and help gathering the documents they need for a permit.
Returning Citizens Fund
A license is one of the most overlooked tools for reentry. Without one, a job search ends at the bus line. This fund covers tuition for our scholarship classes, help replacing birth certificates and Social Security cards, and support through the MVA process so returning citizens can get to work.

6 reasons to invest in our drive for economic mobility
Mobility equals higher wages. Graduates experience a $9,000$12,000 annual income boost and a 10–20% increased chance of securing a living-wage job.
Economic ROI
A driver’s license is a critical social determinant of health. We provide the autonomy needed to reliably access healthcare, education, and fresh food sources.
Public health
We are live and validated. With over $35,000+ raised via Bloomberg Philanthropies, Towson StarTUp, the Johns Hopkins Social Innovation Lab & Baltimore Corps.
Proven Traction
In Sandtown, 56.8% of households lack a vehicle, compared to just 6.8% in Roland Park. We directly dismantle this disparity that contributes to a $82,000 income gap.
Community Impact
Massive Demand
The community demand is immediate. We currently have an active, waitlist of over 100 aspiring drivers ready for our services.
We tap into a $1.7B industry, but scale it with our Rent-to-Own FinTech app. Basically we help our drivers build equity on commuter cost while saving for a car.
